Some of our families may not even be aware that we have a large garden outside of our Stella Burry Place unit. Over the history of the Agnes Pratt Home, this garden has been an area that held many resident functions and served as a wonderful place for residents and families to enjoy the outdoors. As pandemic restrictions lessen, we hope to soon enable this space to be used for residents and families to be together.
In the meantime, however, we know that this garden needs some work to get it to what we need it to be! The garden needs the stones removed, smooth surfaces added, hollows filled, and new sod installed. This work is going to be done but will cost over $30,000. Thankfully, our Foundation is going to assist us in getting this work completed! Over the years, our Foundation has worked very hard to raise funds to help enhance the lives of our residents, however during this global pandemic, fundraising has been very challenging, with little funds being raised.
